Inspiring images?
If you can’t get excited about the photographs on your own website, it’s unlikely they’ll inspire your visitors either, who may simply take their custom elsewhere.
What’s best for your website?
What do you need to show on your website and to whom? What do your customers or clients want to see and what do they need?
Good-looking products?
If you sell products of any kind, they should be photographed and presented in a way that will encourage more sales. At least they ought to look good, so if you have access to (and permission to use) manufacturers’ high-quality photography, take advantage of it. And if you are the manufacturer, create your own great photo library of your products.
Consider having a series of photographs to demonstrate different product features or to suggest the benefits that will come from their use or ownership. And be sure to illustrate any advantages the products have over competing items, or how well they have been made.
